Policy Review Made Simple

Life changes, policies age, and coverage needs evolve. A policy review can help you understand what you have, confirm important details, and determine whether your current coverage still supports your goals.

A policy review does not automatically mean replacing your existing coverage. In many cases, keeping a current policy may be appropriate. We will explain available options and important tradeoffs so you can make an informed decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to a policy review?

Bring the most recent policy statement or full policy contract, premium information, beneficiary details, and any recent notices from the carrier. If available, also bring illustrations or prior review notes.

Does a policy review mean I need a new policy?

No. The purpose is to understand your current coverage and determine whether it still fits your needs. The appropriate recommendation may be to keep the policy, update information, add separate coverage, or consider alternatives.

What information will you review?

We can review the policy type, death benefit, premium, beneficiaries, riders, cash value, loans, surrender charges, guarantees, policy status, and any upcoming changes shown in the available documents.

Should I cancel my current policy before applying for new coverage?

No. Keep your current policy in force until any new coverage is approved, issued, reviewed, accepted, and confirmed active. Canceling too early could leave you without coverage.

Is the policy review free?

Vaughn Family Insurance offers complimentary policy reviews. There is no obligation to apply for new coverage.
